White india ink pens that actually work7/29/2023 ![]() I have a set of Copic liners and while the smaller ones are theoretically great, they go dry very quickly while in use with watercolour paper so it takes multiple lines and forever to even use them. I’ve gone through a bunch and they were all comparable, honestly.Īs an aside, 0.3 is going to be choppy in any colour unless you’re inking very slowly. I have a 0.8 Gelly Roll, which I know you said you don’t like, but it was the best white gel pen I was able to find locally. If you’re dead set against a liquid ink, I’ve seen posca white work quite nicely, although it did référés (<-Edit: reactivate) the black ink lines of one piece (no idea what black they used or if they maybe didn’t let it dry fully or what). I only need one layer of ink vs 2 or 3 of my white gel pen for the same effect. But I paint, so using a liquid white is only a mild inconvenience most of the time. I use an acrylic-based white ink for my whites (FW is the company name), which are mostly white stars sprinkled with a toothbrush over indigo. This will probably get buried at this point, but the best white you’re going to get will come from a liquid white ink.
